Assisted Living

Our assisted living facilities help provide consistent care and comfort for older adults with specialized medical needs and memory loss.

Our dedicated staff provides customized health and personal care services while fostering independence with dignity. They create countless opportunities for residents to enjoy music, art, and social events. This gives our residents opportunities to truly live life to the fullest.

Who is a good candidate for assisted living?

The best assisted-living candidates should be able to get around on their own for the majority of the time. Those who are bound to wheelchairs or are bedridden are better suited in a nursing facility. This way they can receive the care and attention they need.

While there are some assisted living communities that provide a limited number of personal transfers via mechanical lift and such, most do not. It’s also important to consider the senior care your family member needs. For example, if they require insulin injections, colostomy care, or have chronic wounds. Most assisted living facilities aren’t allowed to provide this level of care.

Here at Mary T, we provide different levels of care to ensure that everyone gets the health care they need. We can assist with daily activities as long as the care needed isn’t considered to be medical care. For example: bathing, bathroom needs, getting dressed, and things of that nature.

Seniors who require ongoing medical attention, however, will be able to get the care they need at a nursing facility.

What is the difference between senior living and assisted living?

A senior living community allows for more independence, while an assisted living facility ensures that your loved one can get continuing care. Retirement living communities often consist of seniors who can care for themselves, yet want access to assistance when necessary.

We have skilled nursing professionals who provide home care to both senior living and assisted living community members. Memory care and meal arrangements are provided with assisted living. Whereas senior living members take care of this themselves.

For the most part, it comes down to if your family member can no longer live alone. We recommend assisted living senior care in that case to ensure their safety and well-being.

Independent living community members can sign up for food and medication services if they wish.  Otherwise they do not have regular contact with staff.

Living assisted means that our staff monitors your loved ones to ensure that they are safe and comfortable. While our staff can’t diagnose any medical concerns, we can alert you if we feel there is a need for medical attention. We’ll give you the peace of mind that your family member is being cared for and that they can get the attention they need should a medical issue arise.

At what age can you go into assisted living?

Residents must be 55 years of age or older to join our senior living and assisted living programs. We understand that each resident has different needs. Our goal is to provide the necessary care so that your loved ones can enjoy life while we take care of what’s important.

What is assisted living?

Assisted living facilities provide short-term and long-term assistance to seniors who need help in their day-to-day activities. Our senior care home facilities make it easy for loved ones to get the help they need to live a safe and comfortable life.

Our assisted home care communities allow for a level of independence while also providing a safe environment that ensures that your family is well cared for at all times.

If your family member is capable of getting around on their own but needs assistance with daily tasks and activities, our caring staff is here to help. We do, however, foster independence where possible to help loved ones maintain dignity and happiness.

Whereas independent living members are typically able to handle their own daily needs, assisted living members may need a helping hand here and there throughout the day. We strive to deliver kind, compassionate senior assistance in all of our services.

We have registered nurses who are on-site and on-call 24 hours a day. And with in-home physician visits, you have the assurance that your family member is being looked after by trained medical professionals.

Each resident receives customized care plans that focus on their individual needs. From daily activities to meals, everyone’s care is unique. This ensures that all residents can look forward to safe and effective care that is tailored to their specific needs.

At Mary T, you can trust that your loved ones are well attended to and are receiving the very best care for their needs. Each assisted living resident has opportunities to explore and participate in a variety of activities that are designed to provide a meaningful experience.
