Meet the Outpatient Therapy and Wellness Center Providers

Molly Cardosi, MA, OTR/L - Director of Outpatient Services

Molly is an occupational therapist who has worked primarily in outpatient therapy, serving both adult and pediatric neuro populations. Over the past few years she has transitioned from direct patient care to compliance and regulatory administration, and onto management.

Molly’s favorite part about her role as director is creating a collaborative, holistic team and environment where people want to come to work and clients want to come to heal and experience wellness.

Molly got her bachelor’s degree in health sciences as well as a master’s degree in occupational therapy from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN.

Erin Helgeson, MA, CCC-SLP

Erin is a speech-language pathologist who specializes in working with people who have language or cognitive impairments resulting from a stroke, brain injury, or other neurological event. She is experienced in providing individualized, evidence-based treatment for acquired speech, language, and cognitive-communication disorders in the traditional outpatient setting, as well as in the context of specialized intensive programs.

Erin is passionate about harnessing the power of communication to help clients connect with the people in their lives. She values a collaborative, holistic approach to helping clients achieve their wellness goals.

Erin is certified by the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is a certified LSVT Loud provider. She attended the University of Minnesota, earning her bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences and Spanish Studies and then earning a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She has taught a graduate-level course in Language and Cognitive Disorders in Adults at the University of Minnesota.

Erin’s interests include going on bike rides and exploring new places with her husband. She also enjoys curling up with a good book with her dog at her feet.

Matt Edin, OTR/L, CSRS

Matt is an occupational therapist who has extensive experience in neurological disorders or events, concussion, memory loss, cognitive changes, Covid rehab, and visual deficits.

He prides himself in providing goal driven client centered care with mature understanding and skills related to the promotion and implementation of wellness, recovery, and general health in order to reach the best outcomes for the individual.

Matt is a board-certified occupational therapist that is also a certified stroke rehab specialist and an LSVT BIG certified clinician. Matt gained his bachelor’s degree in exercise science at Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, before moving onto earning his master’s degree in occupational therapy at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN.

Matt enjoys spending time with his family and friends, spending summers at the lake, and playing tennis.

Carrie Peterson, OTR/L, CLT/CLWT

Carrie is an occupational therapist who specializes in treating lymphedema with Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT) and she is also wound certified. She has extensive training in Postural Restoration and treats patients with chronic pain issues, including migraines/headaches, FMS, EDS/hypermobility, external pelvic floor, TMJ/TMD, postural misalignments, orthopedic injuries and post surgical treatment.

As a compassionate healthcare provider, Carrie strives to create personalized treatment plans that address each individual’s unique needs and goals. Her patients consistently commend her for her empathetic approach and unwavering commitment to their well-being. She believes in empowering her patients to take an active role in their own recovery process, providing them with the knowledge and tools they need to lead fulfilling lives.

Carrie graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology in 1995 and earned her master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Minnesota in 2004. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist, Certified Wound Therapist, and Certified Advanced Graston Practitioner. She also holds certifications in aquatic therapy and Watsu.

In her free time Carrie loves spending time with her family and friends including 2 teenagers (who still enjoy spending some time with their mom), 4 cats and a dog. Carrie loves the outdoors and finds peace in nature. Carrie has a passion for kayaking, finding tranquility on calm sunny days just gliding through the water. Carrie loves working in her garden and is always pleasantly surprised with new growth.

Tracy Obright, PTA

Tracy is a physical therapy assistant who is highly experienced in helping seniors regain strength, mobility and independence.

She combines her extensive experience with compassion, allowing her to develop a personalized approach for each client on their recovery and wellness journey.

Tracy earned an Associate of Science degree , Physical Therapy Assistant Program from St. Catherine University, and has over 30 years of experience as a physical therapy assistant.

Tracy enjoys spending time with her loved ones, going on walks with her husband, and exploring new travel destinations

Megan Jensen, PT, DPT, OCS

Megan is a physical therapist who specializes in treating patients with orthopedic conditions to recover from injury, improve fitness, and prevent injury.

Megan is passionate about enhancing physical function to promote overall health and wellness. She works with patients individually to address their specific goals and concerns. She focuses on empowering patients to independently manage their pain, maintain their strength and mobility, and prevent future injuries and surgeries.

Megan is a licensed physical therapist with a board-certified specialty in orthopedics. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Minnesota and her doctorate degree in physical therapy from the University of Indianapolis. She also completed a year of specialty training in an orthopedic clinical residency.

Megan enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and dog, getting outside, reading, and watching Minnesota sports.

Sarah Dueffert, PT, DPT, NCS

Sarah is a physical therapist who specializes in managing the care of patients with neurologic and complex chronic health conditions. She has extensive experience in treating patients with concussion/TBI, POTS, hypermobility, chronic fatigue, dizziness, and other neurologic conditions.

Sarah is passionate about helping her patients find the most efficient route to get back to where they want to be. She takes a functional & holistic approach to care, and loves to help people get back to living their lives again instead of planning their days around symptoms and medical appointments.

Sarah is a board-certified neurologic clinical specialist, and an LSVT BIG certified clinician. She has a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from South Dakota State University and a Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the Mayo Clinic. Following graduation, Sarah completed a neurologic physical therapy residency at the Mayo Clinic. Sarah values teaching and education, and has served as a mentor for neurologic physical therapy residents and doctor of physical therapy students.

In her free time, Sarah loves to spend time outdoors with her husband, son, and dog. She also loves to travel during the long MN winters–especially to tropical locations where she can swim and snorkel.

Nhi Tran, PT, DPT

Nhi is a physical therapist who specializes in pelvic floor therapy and is certified in trigger point dry needling. She started her career with a strong emphasis on helping others regardless of their incomes or social status.

Nhi’s favorite part about being a PT is the ability to empower her patients to do activities again that they never thought possible. She loves to work with all patients, but has a special interest in pelvic health.

Nhi is originally from Vietnam, immigrating to the United States with her parents when she was 17. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities before attending Widener University in Chester, PA where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree.

Away from the clinic, she likes to spend time with her family and going to the gym.

Sarah Huseby, LMT

Sarah is a licensed massage therapist who specializes in holistic approach to healing and relaxation. She has been a massage therapist for over 10 years and has had the privilege of working with a diverse range of clients, each with their own unique needs and concerns. Sarah has also had the privilege of being a lead instructor teaching those who are also pursuing a career in massage therapy.

Sarah is dedicated to helping her clients achieve optimal physical and mental well-being. She takes pride in providing a personalized approach to each client, taking the time to understand their specific needs.

Sarah graduated from Minnesota School of Business in 2014 with an associate degree in Massage Therapy. Throughout the years Sarah has acquired multiple certifications in massage and bodywork apart from the traditional techniques including: CranioSacral, Myofascial Release, Reflexology, Oncology, Trauma Touch, Geriatrics, Cupping, MAT, and Manual Lymphatic Drainage.

Sarah enjoys spending time at the pool or park with her partner and kids. When time allows, she also enjoys gaming and watching crime documentaries.

Colleen Tjosvold, Integrative Health Specialist, MA

As the Integrative Health Specialist, Colleen is implementing and promoting the use of integrative therapies into the wellness center. Integrative therapies include culturally-based healing traditions, spiritual practice, energy healing, herbalism, nutrition, movement therapies, etc. Colleen is passionate about combining integrative therapies with conventional medicine because she believes in an holistic approach to health and wellbeing.

Colleen has a Master of Counseling degree and is currently studying for a Master of Integrative Health and Wellbeing from the Center for Spirituality and Healing at the University of Minnesota. Colleen will be a board-certified Health Coach in Spring 2024.

Colleen was a professional athlete for eight years on the Hong Kong rugby team. Colleen became more interested in mental, emotional and spiritual health after years of physical training.

Colleen loves to travel to Hong Kong to visit her friends. You’ll probably find her at home with her pets or talking to others about her pets.
