1. When is Hospice appropriate?

Hospice is appropriate for comfort care during the end stage of diseases such as cancer, hearth disease, end-stage dementia, pulmonary disease, stroke, end-stage renal disease, or liver disease.

2. Is hospice care covered by my insurance?

Payment sources for hospice include Medicare, Medical Assistance, third-party pay, or private pay.

3. Who do I talk to when hospice services are needed?

Your doctor can order hospice services at the time of your doctor’s appointment. You can ask your doctor about hospice services and that you would like Mary T. to provide your hospice care.

Or, you can call Mary T. Hospice directly and the hospice staff will call your doctor and get the order for hospice care.
